Duane is a quiet and friendly personality in the studio. Primarily working with colored pencils and graphite on paper, he creates whimsical images inspired by the seasons, events, and the people around him, as well as scenes from his own imagination. Duane often includes people in his work, and also loves recurring themes of parties, balloons, and the prom. His drawings utilize an accumulation of visible colored pencil strokes – sometimes light and feathery, and sometimes built up in dense layers. Outside Art Enables, Duane loves to listen to old school music and watch the world around him. He wants people to see his unique technique and the happiness his art brings him.
