Alfonso Barrera Muñiz is a Oaxaca-based multi-media artist. His images speak of the relationship of the human being with nature, the history of universal art, fantastic realism, horror films of the 80's and the images of the place he inhabits: Oaxaca. He uses mainly drawing with graphite and charcoal on paper, although he explores oil painting and engraving. In 2014, the editorial project "Polvoh Press" began, which consists of screen printing, lithography, offset, risography, toner, mobile types and artist's books with editions no more than 200 copies. His work has been exhibited in Mexico, the United States and Japan in both solo and group exhibitions. Alfonso Barrera CV (Espanol)Alfonso Barrera CV (English)
