Alma Ramírez was born in Mexico. She is a contemporary abstract artist currently living and working in Jacksonville, Fl. She earned a B.A. in Fine Arts by Instituto de Bellas Artes in Mexico. Her artistic process consists of layers of paint studying the harmony in colors and the light. She lives close to the water what has been inspiring her on create a more abstract body of work. Water, air and colors are the main source of inspiration. “I believe feelings are very powerful when transmitted thru colors. There is so much poetry on them that I can't resist but try to combine and arrange them in different ways, creating or recreating a story with layers of paint.
