Susan Morosky received her BFA in Sculpture and Painting from Eastern Michigan University. In addition, she studied under Graham Nickson, of the New York Studio School and Robert Wilbert at Wayne State University. Susan’s colorful abstract paintings are nature-based, and very painterly with lots of interesting brushwork and gestured marks. The viewer can almost feel the flowing waters or gentle breezes of her inspiration. Morosky’s work has been exhibited widely in both solo and group shows in galleries across the US, and featured on television and in numerous magazines, most notably: MTV Teen Cribs, Darian’s Teen Crib, art featured in collector’s home (2010), Architectural Digest (Sept 2009), American Art Collector (2007), Focus Santa Fe Magazine (2005), and Better Homes & Gardens. With a expansive portfolio, Morosky has won many distinctions and awards for her work. “Making art is a journey to understand the world, both materially and conceptually, through the observance of nature, form, and color. My paintings develop from an abstract vocabulary inspired by the properties of water, fields, and their boundaries. I work to create a natural rhythm as a means to capture the flow of spontaneous activity. Striving to feel and reflect nature’s underlying forces as witnessed by the human spirit.” - Susan Morosky
