Born and raised in southwest Wisconsin on a dairy farm, Jenni now resides in Nebraska City, NE creating and selling elegantly crafted serving vessels and dinnerware meant to ritualize, celebrate, and bring merriment to the everyday activities of eating and serving food. Jenni also works as the Executive Director of the Kimmel Harding Nelson Center for the Arts, an artist residency program and exhibition space that provides constant interaction with and the opportunity to support the work of artists, writers, and composers from across the country and around the world. In addition, she teaches workshops about the ceramic process locally and throughout the US, serves as an art consultant for public art projects and arts education in the region, and creates online and print marketing for emerging local businesses and organizations. Jenni holds a BFA with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater (2002) and an MFA(Ceramics) from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (2007). Jenni was named an Emerging Artist of 2008 by Ceramics Monthly and in 2009, the recipient of the Lincoln Mayor's Arts Kimmel Emerging Artist Award. She was recently recognized as a finalist for the Lydon Emerging Artist Program through the Society for Contemporary Craft in 2010. Her work has been featured in Ceramics Monthly, 500 Plates Chargers by Lark Books, and as a Nebraska Story on NET television. She is represented on an ongoing basis at Terra Incognito (Chicago, IL), Artisan Gallery (Paoli, WI), Lost Coast Culture Machine (Fort Bragg, CA), LUX Center for the Arts, and Sheldon Museum Store (Lincoln, NE) along with regular exhibition features across the country.
