Born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1974, Aron Belka is a painter currently living and working in New Orleans. He has been included in numerous exhibitions, including the Ogden Museum of Southern Art, the Contemporary Arts Center in New Orleans, LeMieux Galleries in New Orleans and the Jones-Carter Gallery in South Carolina. Belka won the grand prize at the 2015 Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Finale during SCOPE Miami, awarding him a solo exhibit at SCOPE New York and the opportunity to collaborate on a mural in New York City with actress/social activist Rosario Dawson. In the spring of 2016 he spent five months as an artist in residence at the highly regarded Joan Mitchell Center in New Orleans and won the People’s Choice 2D Prize at ArtFields. Belka’s work is included in numerous private and public collections, including a recent acquisition by the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Foundation.
