Steve Wiman is an assemblage artist and owner of an unusual antique store in Austin, Texas, Uncommon Objects. Steve is a graduate of the University of North Texas and attended graduate art school at the University of Texas. It was the study of color and composition through painting that gave him his aesthetic foundation."Years ago, I encountered a quotation accredited to Ralph Waldo Emerson which resonated with me. Emerson said “There is no object so foul that an intense light will not render beautiful.” This truth has inspired and illuminated my art making.
