Alexandra Christine Bradshaw (1888 - 1981) was active/lived in Massachusetts, California / Canada. Alexandra Bradshaw is known for Watercolor painting, teaching.Born in Nova Scotia, Canada on April 20, 1888. Bradshaw studied with Warren T. Hedges, Rex Slinkard, and Hans Hofmann in Los Angeles, André Lhote in Paris, at UCLA, Columbia and Stanford Universities. From 1922-48 she was head of the art department at Fresno State College and often a summer resident of Laguna Beach. By 1954 she had married Clarence Hoag and was living in Massachusetts. The Hoags made their home on a large acreage outside of Boston in a castle of their own design. Mrs. Hoag died in Whittier, CA on Sept. 23, 1981.
