Abdullah Barake’s journey in design began in 2012, driven by a lifelong fascination with form, objects, and space. Raised in Beirut, he developed an early instinct for deconstructing and reconstructing objects, which later evolved into a career in interior architecture and product design. He worked across Beirut and Doha, developing signature pieces and a practice rooted in experimentation and refined imperfection. He is the founder and creative director of The Mirror Project, a platform dedicated to sculptural and statement mirrors. What began as a personal workshop evolved into a curated studio focused on transforming functional objects into expressive design objects, guided by his philosophy that everyone needs a mirror.Sustainability remains central to his practice, from restoring vintage mirrors to collaborating with artisans using responsible and recycled materials. For Abdullah, design is not only visual, it is emotional, tactile, and narrative.
