Adriana Oliver, b. 1990, is a contemporary figurative artist from Barcelona.Drawn to the vibrant color and powerful form of the Pop Art genre, Adriana utilizes large canvas' to explore gender roles and challenging stereotypes— deconstructing symbology, and embracing minimalist and neutral forms that can be ambiguously perceived by the viewer. Her abstract sense of immediacy when creating a new piece can be attributed to her training as a photographer; capturing a breath of emotion, intent, and expression in figures & portraiture.Currently working between Barcelona and Los Angeles, her strength and motivation is forged by a lifelong state of artistic freedom & support from family, peers, and a positive environment of expression.Her work has been exhibited in Spain, Italy, UK, Switzerland, and in Los Angeles; critiqued in publications including Avui & Popdam Magazine.
