Agnieszka Jackiewicz is a contemporary abstract painter whose work explores emotion, memory, and inner movement through layered color and atmospheric depth. She holds a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting and Painting Design in Architecture and Urban Planning from the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Wrocław, Poland. Shortly after completing her studies, she relocated to the United States, where she now lives and works in Connecticut.Jackiewicz’s paintings are immediately recognizable for their ethereal presence and nuanced luminosity. Working in oil and acrylic, often incorporating gold or silver leaf, she builds compositions that feel both expansive and intimate. Soft veils of color intersect with more saturated passages, creating a visual rhythm that shifts with light and environment. While each work explores a distinct palette, her signature language remains consistent, intuitive, layered, and deeply atmospheric. Her work has been featured in exhibitions and competitions throughout the United States and Europe and is held in private collections, hospitality spaces, and interior design projects internationally. At Drew Marc Gallery, Jackiewicz’s paintings are presented as meditative yet dynamic works that reward sustained looking and emotional engagement, offering collectors a refined balance of visual beauty and lasting resonance.Artist StatementPainting is both instinct and immersion for me. Each work begins as an open space, a quiet moment where emotion guides the first gesture. As layers build, the painting becomes a record of feeling rather than a fixed narrative. I work abstractly because it allows freedom, not only for myself, but for the viewer.I move between oil and acrylic, often introducing metallic elements that interact with light and transform the work throughout the day. These materials allow the painting to breathe within its environment, revealing new subtleties over time. When I paint, I become fully present. Time dissolves, and the canvas becomes a personal journal written through color, movement, and texture. While my story remains embedded in each work, I leave space for interpretation. I believe the strongest connection happens when a viewer brings their own emotions into the experience, forming a relationship that goes beyond what is immediately seen.
