Albert Llobet Portell was born in the city of Salvador Dalí: Figeures (1988). This city north of Catalonia where Dalí found his inspiration. Albert’s strong connection with both Cataluña and Dali was the inspiration behind his decision to study the arts and make art his vocation Albert Llobet Portell studied design at the Elisava Escola Superior de Disseny, in Barcelona; another city, which enables young artistic minds to delve deeper into the exploration of art and design. The opportunities he was given when studying at Elisava led Albert to cross paths many key people within the arts & design field, that helped influence and shape Albert into the young professional he is today. Albert further developed his fine art and graphic design skills throughout his studies at the Rhode Island School of Design in Industrial Design and at the Southampton University, in London. The learning opportunities he had while at these institutions helped him develop an impressive inventory design, . His overwhelming successes in design pushed him to revisit his interest in paintings , after his return to L’Emporda he worked as a designer, still mainly focused on his art skills and creating an amazing body of strong and powerful artwork, . Albert has been putting an emphasis on developing his artistic views and techniques. This talented young artist has experienced tremendous success; he has held exhibitions globally; notably in Catalonia, Puerto Rico and the United States. Definitely worth keeping an eye on his artistic development Albert is represented exclusively in the US by Isabella Garrucho Fine Art, and has held several exhibition at Voce-di in Soho, New York, Westport, CT, Barcelona, Puerto Rico and a solo exhibition at IGI Fine Art LLC gallery in Greenwich CT.
