Order undone Alex Tosti’s work is an ongoing study in surrender—an experiment, an education, and an exploration. Each painting begins with intention: a plan, a grid, a repeated gesture. Layers are built with care and precision, textures masked and revealed, foundations structured to hold balance and control. And then, inevitably, something breaks free. A pour drifts beyond its edge. Tape lifts the paint in unexpected patterns. Cracks emerge, gradients bloom, lines fracture. That tension - between control and chaos - is the pulse of Tosti’s practice. It reflects a continual process of becoming, of making sense of identity and experience across time. Through this process, Tosti invites viewers into that same space of discovery—where order meets uncertainty, and something wholly new begins to take shape.
