Anna Kruhelska, a visual artist based in Lodz, Poland, integrates a strong architectural background into her contemporary art practice. After graduating in 2006, she spent fifteen years in London, working for leading UK architecture firms. Her involvement in diverse large-scale projects across Russia, Malaysia, and the UK cultivated a deep understanding of form, symmetry, and space, now underpinning her cohesive artistic explorations.Inspired by minimalism, architectural composition, and geometry, Anna creates abstract, three-dimensional paper and wooden wall reliefs. These pieces interact with light, offering a dynamic visual experience dependent on the observer's viewpoint. Her artistic exploration centres on the dialogue between light and shadow, contrast, colour, and recurring patterns. Kruhelska's creative process is driven by technology. She digitally conceives works through creative coding and parametric modelling. This digital blueprint is then meticulously translated into tangible form using machines like CNC cutters, culminating in manual refinement. This blend of technological precision and hands-on craftsmanship is integral to her artistic output.Kruhelska's artistic journey began with paper experimentation in 2018, leading to white paper wall reliefs that quickly garnered professional interest and established her presence in the contemporary art scene. Her reputation grew, culminating in a solo exhibition at Woolff Gallery, London, in 2020. The positive reception encouraged her to explore larger formats and incorporate colour. Anna continued developing her paper relief series, attracting galleries in the USA and Canada. Group exhibitions inHouston, Dallas, and Miami introduced her paper art to a wider audience. This success fuelled exploration beyond paper into mixed media, leading to the "Constant Change" and “Parallel Perspectives” series — a vibrant collection of colourful mixedmedia wall reliefs using wood panels and acrylic paints. Anna's paper and wooden wall reliefs have been exhibited internationally in Miami, Boston, Houston, Dallas, Dubai, Venice, Dortmund, and more. Her work has also been shown at prestigious art fairs like Art Miami, Art Palm Beach + Contemporary, and Art Karlsruhe.
