Anne Muntges is a visual artist known for her highly detailed drawings, prints, and paintings that explore the psychological and emotional resonance of built environments. Originally from Buffalo, New York, Muntges earned her BFA from the Kansas City Art Institute and later completed an MFA at the University at Buffalo. She has exhibited nationally and internationally, with work featured in institutions such as the Knoxville Museum of Art, the Burchfield Penney Art Center, and the Albright Knox Art Gallery. Muntges has participated in numerous residencies, including the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, the Vermont Studio Center, and the Roswell Artist-in-Residence Program. Her work is held in private and public collections and has received recognition for its technical rigor and conceptual depth. She currently divides her time between Buffalo and New York City, continuing to expand her practice across drawing, painting, printmaking, and immersive installation.
