“I gravitate toward expansive coastal landscapes—winding mountains, forests, beaches, and vast open water. This influence runs through my series of seascapes and landscapes, capturing subtle moments of shifting light, changing seasons, and transitional times. In my painting process I try to balance densely worked areas of bold color and expressive line work alongside quieter, subdued gradients. Through this contrast emerges complexity and simplicity, both coexisting and creating visual and emotional depth. Living and working across multiple studios including one on the Central Coast of California, along the New England coastline, and the latest studio space on the South Coast of Spain, has had one of the biggest impacts on shaping my artistic vision. My paintings become rooted in my experiences traveling to and from each place, observing the people and nature I come across while inviting connection.”
