Born in France in 1980, Maxime Blachere aka Blach discovered contemporary art and made his first performances with the ‘Performers’ and Professor Carret in 1996. He started doing graffiti at the College Cote-Rousse, then joined the West Coast ‘S sector’ at the beginning of the 2000s. A follower of the Fluxus movement and disciple of Ben Vautier, the artist was a semi-professional volleyball player, PE teacher for 20 years and also a musician before becoming an internationally known artist.
