Brian Bosworth is a sculptor and ceramicist whose work explores the space between structure and sensation—between the built environment and the natural world. Influenced by mid-century architecture, brutalism, and minimalism, his forms are restrained yet expressive, balancing weight and lightness, solidity and openness.Working under the name BKB Ceramics, Bosworth is based between Joshua Tree, California and Oklahoma City. His vessels and sculptural works emphasize proportion, surface, and form, drawing on architectural language while remaining attentive to subtle shifts and organic presence.Bosworth’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is held in private collections throughout the United States and abroad. He previously owned and operated a retail and gallery space for eight years in Joshua Tree and Palm Springs, and his work has been featured in numerous publications. He received his B.A. from California State University, Bakersfield and his M.F.A. in Studio Art from Claremont Graduate University. He has worked professionally in ceramics and sculpture since 2002. Alongside his studio practice, Bosworth teaches ceramic sculpture and wheel throwing at The Studio School and art at Deer Creek High School in Oklahoma City.Across both vessels and sculptural forms, his work occupies a reflective middle ground—where architectural discipline meets natural variation, and form becomes a quiet site for contemplation, memory, and experience.
