Known affectionately to friends as “O’Frielyo,” Bryan Friel brings a touch of whimsy and abstract Irish humor to his art. Born in Pullman, Washington, he earned his degree in Fine Art from Washington State University before launching a successful twenty-year career in graphic design and illustration in Los Angeles. His work received numerous industry honors, including awards from the Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles, Print Magazine, the Beckett Letterhead Design Award, and an Award of Merit from Potlatch Paper. His designs were also featured in All New American Logo. Now based in Portland, Oregon, Bryan continues to explore his creative passions—drawing, painting, and making music—while embracing the city’s cultural vibrancy and sense of artistic freedom.
