In his Botanical Mind series, Kleitsch uses a digital flatbed scanner as a camera, producing translucent, highly detailed images reminiscent of historical photograms and cyanotypes. This technique allows him to render his botanical subjects not as still lifes, but as portraits that depict their “humanity.”
