Chris Paulson lives and works in Eugene, Oregon - creating his amazing fused glasswork surrounded by the beauty of the Northwest. The iridescent quality of his glass art is timeless and each piece is uniquely handcrafted using an ancient gradual heating and cooling technique dating back over 4,000 years. Chris uses special compatible glass that, when placed in a kiln at temperatures in excess of 1450 degrees Fahrenheit, fuse together. Artistry and technical expertise transform the radiant glass into contemporary functional art. A variety of pieces including platters, trays, picture frames, and coaster sets are available in a wide array of colors and sizes.The lustrous, rainbow-like surface of the glass is food safe and suitable for everyday use, but nonetheless, should be treated with care.
