Christian Masot is an internationally recognized artist whose career bridges the worlds of tattooing and fine art. Known first for his mastery as a tattoo artist, Masot has earned worldwide acclaim for his bold visual style, refined design sense, and confident use of color, qualities that now define his growing presence in the fine art world. Masot earned a degree in English and education from Montclair State University in New Jersey with the intention of becoming a teacher. His natural artistic ability soon redirected his path, leading him to an apprenticeship at a well known tattoo studio where he developed the technical precision and discipline that would shape his career. Over the next fifteen years, he rose to prominence in the tattoo community and went on to own and operate Roses and Rebels Tattoo in Jersey City. His work has been widely recognized throughout the industry. Masot was named Artist of the Year by Aquarian Magazine, appeared on television programs on Bravo, Spike TV, and MTV, and served as a consultant on Spike TV’s Tattoo Rescue. He has received numerous awards at tattoo conventions nationwide, including Best in Show, Best of the Day, Best Sleeve, Best Black and Grey, and Best Color. In recent years, Masot has expanded his creative focus to fine art, exhibiting original paintings internationally. His work reflects a strong foundation in composition, line, and color, resulting in visually striking pieces that balance technical skill with expressive impact. Masot approaches every piece with the belief that art should resonate on a personal level, creating work that feels intentional, emotionally engaging, and uniquely his own.
