Connie Hennings-Chilton, originally from Canada, expresses her love of Hawaiʻi in her drawings, plein air landscapes, florals and paintings of the people of the islands. After starting a career in nursing, and traveling around the world, she decided to make Hawaiʻi her home. In 1986 she went to work as an artist full time.
Connie has done many commissions for portraits, designs for corporations like Hawaiian Airlines and Phone Line USA. Her images are published in children's books and notecards, and she is a member of the Association of Hawaiʻi Artists, Hawaiʻi Watercolor Society, and the National League of American Pen Women.
