Danza Davis grew up captivated by nature in rural Northern California and natural subjects continue to be hergreatest inspiration. She works on large canvases with bold, repeated elements. Her work explores theever-shifting relationships between color, shape, and subject; simultaneously evoking the child-like wonder oflooking through a kaleidoscope and the immersive, fleeting beauty of nature. With degrees in both botanyand studio art, Danza's work is underpinned by technical ability and an informed sensitivity to ecologicalrelationships and natural histories.
