Dutch glass artist David Beliën studied at the Art Academy of Tilburg and the renowned School of Applied Glass Arts in Železný Brod, known as the school of Libenský. He honed his craft working in glassblowing studios across Europe, New Zealand, and the United States, developing a mastery of form and precision. His work consists primarily of free-blown vessels with controlled shapes, enhanced by optical cuts and polished surfaces. Architectural in appearance yet sensuous to the touch, Beliën’s sculptures invite contemplation of structure, transparency, and light. Recognized as one of the Netherlands’ leading emerging glass artists, his work has been acquired by the esteemed Ernsting-Stiftung Museum in Germany.
