David is a Massachusetts-based contemporary collage artist known for his intricate hand-cut paper collages that merge architecture, imagination, and atmosphere. His original collage art is sought after by collectors for its layered compositions, unexpected juxtapositions, and meditative visual narratives. Inspired by the spaces that linger between notes, noise, and meaning, David juxtaposes disparate imagery, perspectives, and forms to create surreal worlds filled with tension, harmony, and depth. Formally trained as an architect, David brings a refined understanding of structure, scale, and spatial design to his fine art practice. His work explores the interplay between positive and negative space, deconstruction and reconstruction, and the relationship between natural, man-made, and imagined environments. Each piece is meticulously crafted from images and textures sourced exclusively from magazines, books, and photographs—carefully cut, composed, and assembled by hand before being digitally photographed to produce museum-quality, high-definition reproductions and limited edition prints. David began creating collage art during the summer of 2020 as a personal creative outlet during lockdown. Since then, his contemporary paper collages have been exhibited in museums and galleries across France, Spain, Portugal, England, Ireland, and the United States. His work has also been featured as album artwork and published internationally in books and magazines, expanding his presence among collectors of modern and experimental art. In addition to visual collage, David creates instrumental “sonic collages,” performing original compositions and DJ sets at festivals, galleries, and cultural venues throughout New England. This multidisciplinary approach informs his visual practice, resulting in dynamic, rhythm-driven artwork that resonates with collectors seeking bold, architectural, and conceptually rich contemporary collage art.
