Haitian artist David Rouzier was born in Port-au-Prince in 1937. After Toussaint Louverture High School, he began painting at the Centre d'Art in 1956. Joining the exodus to the Foyer des Arts Plastiques gallery in 1959, he returned to the Centre d'Art again in 1964. He has been exhibited in Haiti, Canada, and the US.
