Artist Biography Diane is an award-winning professional Atlanta-area artist who has lived and studied worldwide. She works in numerous areas in the field of art. A graduate of the Dayton Art Institute, Diane began in the field of visual merchandising. With a strong desire to create something out of nothing, she has been concentrating on collage. Artist Statement My work draws from a personal collection of vintage buttons, fabrics, accessories, photographs, and fashion ephemera collected over time. I incorporate magazine cutouts of fashion models and manipulated high-end designer shoe wrapping papers. The work questions the boundaries of fashion itself. As contemporary fashion becomes increasingly unconventional, I ask: How far can I push these materials before they stop evoking "fashion"?
