Diane L. Murtha is an award-winning fiber artist, author, and international lecturer and instructor. She is a “Don’t put me in a box” artist. Quilting for over 50 years, she explores many fiber art genres and techniques. Beginning with traditional pieces, she transitioned to art, modern and contemporary work. Recent pieces address sustainability with a focus on upcycling and reusing materials. Diane’s art and articles are included in books, 30 + magazines, and multiple juried exhibits and international shows, including the prestigious National Quilt Museum and International Quilt Festival. Diane published her first book, Artful Insights in Fiber: Quilted Bits of Wit & Wisdomin March 2023. She currently resides in Iowa.
