East Crosman is a contemporary figurative painter born in Utah, and raised in Arizona. He began painting at Northern Arizona University in pursuit of his Undergraduate degree in fine arts. His work is characterized by dreary and dusty colors, on top of textured and distressed canvas in order to pull the subject matter forward. Taking inspiration from American painters such as Maynard Dixon, and Ralph Blakelock he aims to depict the feeling and emotion of his home within the deserts of Arizona and Utah
