Edel Alonso Bello, "Neno", is a Cuban-born visual artist whose vibrant, expressive work reflects a deep engagement with color, form, and narrative. A graduate of the Professional School of Art “Roberto Diago” in Matanzas (2005), where he later taught drawing and painting, Alonso Bello honed a craft rooted in classical technique but propelled by contemporary energy. His artistic practice explores a wide spectrum of themes—including identity, myth, and transformation—through series such as Fantasy Women and Pool. Exhibited in venues across Cuba, including the 12th and 13th Havana Biennials, his work has gained international visibility while maintaining a strong personal voice. Now based in Peruíbe, Brazil, Alonso Bello continues to evolve his visual language—embracing the luminosity of the Caribbean and the rich sensibilities of South American culture—offering collectors pieces that combine technical refinement with emotive power.
