Grace Mehan DeVito is a talented painter of portraits, figures, still lives, and landscapes who has been a professional artist for over 20 years. She captures the essence of her subjects with her skilled brush strokes creating atmosphere and a sense of timelessness. Grace was born in Connecticut and at a young age realized she had a passion for drawing and painting. She started out her career as an illustrator and portrait artist, honing her skills for clients such as Sony, The United Nations, Harper Collins, and Penguin USA. Her great desire to capture nature truthfully led her to study with renowned artists Sarah Lamb, Travis Schlaht, Edward Minoff, Jeremy Lipking, Laurel Stern Boeck, Michelle Dunaway, and Stephen Early. Grace has recently been awarded the David Leffel Award of Excellence in Painting, Award of Honor from The Butler Museum of American Art for Inspiring Figures Show, American Artist Magazine Cover Finalist, and ARC Salon Still Life Finalist 3 years in a row. She was a featured artist for American Painting Video Magazine, Winter Issue 2011. She lives and paints in southern Connecticut.
