Born Jacques Guetta, Hijack is the son of ‘Exit Through the Gift Shop’ star Mr. Brainwash. Growing up in a world surrounded by Invader, Banksy, Shepard Fairey, and his father, he was able to observe first-hand the creative processes of some of the world’s most prolific and successful street artists. After learning the secrets of the trade, Hijack expanded his skill set and underwent classical training to master oil painting. He has since exhibited in Mexico, Switzerland, Japan, the U.K. and the U.S. Hijack's work ranges across a variety of mediums with oil on woodcut panels being his most recognized, and he is constantly challenging the status quo with his signature tongue-in-cheek style and dark humor. Using imagery from a vast collection of influences such as Banksy, Piet Mondrian, and Van Gogh, Hijack introduces a new perspective and creates new meanings by juxtaposing artistic styles. Hijack's distinctive style and thought-provoking content have cemented his status as a celebrated street artist.
