Isaac "Tails" Jekel is a mixed media portrait artist. Tails' modern interpretation of classical subjects and compositions adds a breath of youth. Light bounces around Tails' work, with some help from a metallic spark and otherworldly impasto abstraction. Art has been used by Tails to discover self love, and share that magic with those around them. Tails’ work is often used to tackle subjects of queerness, depression, and relationships. Throughout everything, however, each piece is used as a way to put beauty into the universe. The Phobia Project: Inspired by the popular challenge "Inktober", The Phobia Project is an art challenge that Tails hosted in October of 2020. This challenge was open to creatives around the world, and through the 31 day prompt list, artists would challenge their output of creativity. Through the first 30 days, the artist would learn what fear means to them through creation. By day 31, under the prompt "My Biggest Fear," the artist would now have the chance to take what they have learned about fear throughout this project, and hopefully conquer theirs.
