Jackie was born in small town Saskatchewan and has lived in the prairie provinces of Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta. She returned to Saskatchewan in the late ‘90s and currently lives in Saskatoon. She has worked for over 25 years developing as an artist. She has studied with other professional artists and completed the art program at the University of Saskatoon. However, her main source of development is her personal work. Jackie is a disciplined painter, prolific, versatile, and experimental with a preference for acrylic paint on canvas. She uses strong confident brush strokes to bring varied subjects to life with vibrant colours. She tells the story of what she sees. Jackie is fun and energetic and wants her work to reflect this; she wants the colours to dance.Jackie’s paintings are represented in private, public and corporate collections throughout Canada, including the Legislative Building of the Government of Saskatchewan in Regina. She contributes to the community through her affiliations and memberships in various organizations. She uses her art to support many different fund raising activities for a variety of local organizations that represent community needs.
