iPhoneographer & CuratorJames Bacchi is a Palm Springs– and San Francisco–based photographer and curator whose ongoing mobile photography series, #inthesky, examines the shifting relationship between the sky and the built environment. Shot spontaneously, each image captures a fleeting intersection of beauty, tension, and vulnerability unfolding above the urban landscape. Begun in 2015, the series draws inspiration from cities including San Francisco, Palm Springs, New York, Rome, Paris, and Budapest.His work is represented by Karyn Mannix Contemporary and has been exhibited at the Piedmont Center for the Arts, Arc Gallery, and STUDIO Gallery, as well as featured at RED DOT Miami. Corporate collections include M&M Fine Art Services, El Camino Hospital, UBS Financial Services, Bridgepoint, and University High School in San Francisco.
