My work explores the journey of transformation, resilience, and the freedom to become the fullest version of ourselves. Transformation takes many forms - physical, spiritual, emotional, and mental and I’m drawn to beings that embody that change, whether overtly or in quieter, symbolic ways. Like me, my pieces all carry stories of becoming. We all move through life with our own story, burdens, and inner demons. Through my art, I invite viewers to look beyond self-imposed limitations, reconnect with their inner strength, and imagine what might be possible when we allow ourselves to transform. My detailed beadwork is a fusion of new and vintage elements carefully sourced and meticulously placed creating multi-dimensional textures that invite the viewer to explore every detail. Each sculpture is a magical, endless visual journey. I’ve been educated and enlightened by a vibrant community of talented artists and mentors. Through them, I learned the foundational principles, techniques, and developed priceless skills to find and express my artistic voice. I hold juried membership in the Connecticut Women Artists, Inc. (CWA) and the Canton Artists Guild, and am a member of Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts, West Hartford Art League, and Greenwich Art Society. I also serve as the Vice President of CWA. I’ve exhibited at galleries including Bendheim Gallery, New Britain Museum of American Art, Hygienic Art, Mandell Gallery, Five Points Gallery, Jorgensen Gallery, the Art League of New Britain, and Gallery on the Green as well as a permanent piece in the Beaded Square Project at the Museum of Beadwork in Portland, Maine. My work is in private collections in Connecticut, Vermont, Massachusetts, New York, North Carolina, and the Southwest. Icurrently have gallery representation in New Mexico, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.
