Although Jenny Buckner works in a variety of genres, she is partial to animals and flowers. As a young girl, she considered becoming a veterinarian or a floriculturist, eventually earning her degree in horticulture. Today, she is able to realize both passions as a painter, routinely turning to her pets and flowers for inspiration. Her interest in animals has led her to conduct painting workshops at a wolf conservation and research facility in Indiana. Jenny teaches painting workshops in Waynesville, N.C. at her namesake fine art gallery. She has studied with respected artists such as Dan Gerhartz and Quang Ho, honing her own impressionist style with a focus on loose brushwork and "lots of color". Her paintings have earned her multiple accolades nationally. In addition, Jenny is a signature member of American Women Artists, American Impressionist Society, and Oil Painters of America.
