Jesús Nodarse is a Cuban contemporary artist whose work explores the boundaries between the figurative and the surreal, often blurring the line between imagination and emotion. Rooted in the Cuban visual tradition yet profoundly personal in tone, his art reflects an ongoing dialogue between inner psychological states and the outside world. Nodarse graduated from the Academia Nacional de Bellas Artes San Alejandro in Havana, one of Cuba’s most prestigious art institutions. His formal training in drawing and painting laid the foundation for a practice defined by technical mastery and conceptual depth. His compositions frequently feature symbolic human forms intertwined with dreamlike spaces, rendered in a palette that merges sensuality with introspection. His work has been exhibited in Cuba, Spain, the United States, and Latin America, both in solo and collective shows. Nodarse’s paintings are part of several private collections and continue to gain international attention for their emotional resonance and meticulous execution. Today, Jesús Nodarse lives and works between Havana and Miami, where he continues to develop a body of work that reflects the complexity of identity, transformation, and memory within the contemporary Cuban experience.
