Jonathan Noon (b. 1985) is centrally focused on figurative realism particularly of the American West. It is these landscapes, this period of American history which tell the stories he feels are most emblematic of who we are and from where we came. It is also the southwest region of the United States he grew up and matured as an artist. Trained on the French atelier method, Jonathan completed rigorous studies at Boston’s Academy of Realist Art. He combines the academic-style that stresses draftsmanship with contemporary expressions of light and mark making. Jonathan currently resides in Arizona with his wife and two sons.
