SCULPTURE JOHANNESBURG, SOUTH AFRICA Jonty Hurwitz is an artist, engineer, and entrepreneur. He was born in Johannesburg and studied electrical engineering at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. Following his studies, Jonty traveled to India to study yoga and wood carving before arriving in London, where he then spent time in the tech world. Jonty started creating scientifically inspired artworks and anamorphic sculptures in 2009. He is now internationally recognized for his pioneering work in merging art and science, appearing in Forbes, The Financial Times, The Guardian, and The Huffington Post, also covered on CNN, BBC, and more. He is presented in galleries and museums around the world. Jonty’s art has also been widely cited in the academic world.
