Jorge Otero is a Cuban visual artist whose work examines the intersection of reality and perception through a fusion of painting, photography, and digital manipulation. His practice reflects a deep engagement with the human form, exploring transformation, fragmentation, and the tension between the tangible and the virtual. Otero graduated from the Instituto Superior de Arte (ISA) in Havana, where he developed his multidisciplinary approach that merges classical technique with contemporary media. His works are characterized by refined composition, technical precision, and a conceptual exploration of identity, time, and the body in flux. He has exhibited internationally in Cuba, the United States, Spain, and Latin America, with solo and group exhibitions that position him among the key voices of Cuba’s new contemporary generation. His works are part of numerous private and institutional collections, valued for their ability to merge traditional craftsmanship with digital innovation. Jorge Otero currently lives and works between Havana and Miami, continuing to expand his practice through global collaborations and experimental projects that blur the boundaries between art, technology, and memory.
