Josh Brown is an American artist working out of New York City. As a summa cum laude graduate of the Savannah College of Art & Design [SCAD], Brown has pursued a lifelong passion of creating art, most notably through his paintings of animals. Brown's bold minimalist style personifies the energy and attitude of his subjects capturing joy, magnetic characters, and curiously subtle movement. He does this deftly with sculptural brush strokes and a refined palette knife in both oil and acrylic, incorporating speckling techniques and other interesting textural elements onto his canvases. Over the years the artist has championed numerous charity groups, battered women shelters, animal rights organizations, and children's hospitals.
