Utilizing a distinct color palette of oil paints to create texturally rich portraits, landscapes and still-lifes, Julia Klimova feels each of her paintings is a culmination of everything she has seen and felt. When asked how long a painting takes to create, she contemplates, “How long? My entire life.” A childhood spent in southern Russia, surrounded by light and warmth, continues to influence Klimova and the emotional message of her canvasses. Soft, sensual yet striking, her canvasses reach viewers at levels beyond the purely visual. After studying Fine Arts in Russia and working as an interior designer, Julia Klimova moved to North America over twenty years ago and art became her full time career. Seen in publications such as Fine Art Connoisseur and American Art Collector, her pieces are avidly collected throughout Europe, the U.S. and Canada. She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia.
