Justin W. Archer is a sculptor exploring traditional carving practices with fabrication technology to examinethe fragility and beauty of the human experience. He received his M.F.A. in 2016 from the University of NorthTexas and is currently a Professor of Sculpture at SCAD: Atlanta. Archer’s work has been exhibitednationally at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia and Day and Night Projects in Atlanta, Love FieldAirport, the University of Dallas, the 5th Louisiana Biennial, Miami University in Ohio, and many othergalleries. Most recently, he has been the recipient of the Nexus Fund and was awarded the MaterialExploration residency at the Center For Craft, courtesy of the Virigina A. Groot Foundation. He has artworkin the public collections of the Promenade de Sculptures in Lacoste, France, the Thompson: BuckheadHotel, Texas Tech University, the Methodist Health System Foundation, Music Bed, and many other privatecollections. He lives with his family in Atlanta, Georgia.
