Kamyl Bullaudy Rodríguez is a Cuban contemporary artist of Lebanese descent, celebrated for his emotionally charged and symbolically layered paintings that explore the human spirit, identity, and transformation. Born in Holguín, in eastern Cuba, he is the son of a Lebanese immigrant father who settled in Cuba, bringing with him the rich cultural legacy and traditions of the Levant. This multicultural background deeply shaped Bullaudy’s worldview and continues to inform his artistic expression. A graduate of the José Joaquín Tejada School of Fine Arts in Santiago de Cuba, Bullaudy’s practice combines classical technique with expressive freedom. His work often depicts introspective figures and dreamlike spaces, capturing the tension between memory and transcendence. The artist’s palette—earthy yet luminous—reflects both his Mediterranean roots and the vivid light of the Caribbean.Bullaudy has exhibited extensively across Cuba, Spain, and the United States, with notable presentations in Havana, Madrid, Miami, and New York. His works form part of prominent private and institutional collections and are acclaimed for their depth, humanity, and cross-cultural resonance. He currently lives and works in Santiago de Cuba, where he continues to paint, guided by a profound connection to his Lebanese heritage and a lifelong search for spiritual and emotional truth through art.
