Kari is a visual mixed media artist that dwells at the intersection of the natural world and built environment. It is here that she has created a body of work rooted in the myriad of ways anthropogenic activity has impacted our shared fragile ecology. Plants in these disturbed and disrupted environments have tales to tell, and Kari brings their stories forward as a visual raconteur and record-keeper. Kari holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of TX, Austin and a NYBG Certificate of Botanical Art & Illustration, is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists and the Tri State Botanical Artists circle. Kari has recently relocated Brilliant Studio from TX and NY to the quiet rural NW corner of CT.
