Bio: Kristen’s work began with a yellow crayon on her bedroom wall. She was three years old. Her love for color and drawing gave her an opportunity to team up with fellow artist Jill Alford. They created a 15 year partnership painting murals in churches schools and homes. In 2014, Kristen switched gears and began work as an interior design assistant with the Beth Meyer Design After more than 8 years, she decided to go back to her original love of painting. Kristen is proud to partner with dk Gallery. Statement: Being a dyslexic kid, I knew a career as a physicist or book editor were not sensible choices. So, I grabbed onto my strong love for color, a weird obsession with art supplies and chose a path that made me happiest. I love seeing bright prints and patterns dance together and sometimes disagree.I love giggling as I think of something silly and try to create that thought on a canvas. At the end of the day, I am just a girl still coloring only with more expensive supplies. I hope my work makes you smile.
