Artist Linda Hogan has her studio on Molokai where you can find her most days creating the latest "Living Honu Sculpture". Linda majored in art while attending college in Kansas and Arizona. Her extensive training in the mixes media arts as well as an Ocular Prosthetic artist was instrumental in her perfecting her Honuʻs. A scuba diving adventure in 2002 on Molokai where she swam with a group of green sea turtles was the catalyst to her falling in love with these creatures. Years of experimentation led Linda to find a non toxic eco-friendly material that she can both sculpt and paint. Each one is hand sculpted and no two are exactly alike. The process takes upwards to three months depending on the size which vary from Keiki to Kupuna.
