Lisa Warren’s work explores the ephemeral beauty of light and its relationship to the natural world. Working primarily in watercolor and gouache on paper, she distills fleeting moments—sunlight filtering through leaves, shifting skies, and organic forms—into compositions that balance color, structure, and atmosphere. Her paintings invite quiet reflection, foregrounding perception and the transient nature of experience. Warren received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD) and an MFA from Yale University. She has participated in residencies at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, Yaddo, Hambidge, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, and DNA Residency Program. Her work has been presented in solo and group exhibitions, including multiple solo shows at Standard Space Gallery in Sharon, CT, and exhibitions in Greenwich, CT. She is currently a cohort member of The Canopy Program, a year-long mentorship based in Chelsea, New York.
